Moms’ Club
Let me introduce you to the FarmHouse Moms’ Club! If your son is in FarmHouse, you are a member of the Moms’ Club. The Moms’ Club was organized to help the fraternity moms stay informed and so that we could do things for the fraternity as a whole. We meet once or twice yearly at the fraternity house; usually during an event when parents are present such as Founders Day or Parents Weekend. Meeting times are usually 15 to 20 minutes in length with most of our correspondence is completed by e-mail. So, if you are not already receiving updates from Laura Bryan, please send your e-mail address to her at laurahbryan@bellsouth.net. There are two officer positions: Laura Bryan is the President along with Pam Ramsey and Kenna Runge serving as Secretary/Treasurer. Dues are $25 per year and they are payable in the fall.
Moms’ Club Activities
- Snacks/finger foods during Fall Rush.
- Desserts for Fall Homecoming lunch.
- Homemade Christmas snacks and treats served after the last fall chapter meeting before finals.
- Christmas Gifts for the house.
- Assist with Parents’ Weekend in the Fall.
- Desserts for “Meet and Greet” on Friday night.
- Founders’ Day provide decorations and desserts.
- Provide lunch for the first day of finals during Spring Semester. Our way of wishing them good luck on finals.
We are always open to suggestions if you have other worthwhile projects that we should consider. We rely a lot on the “local” moms for the legwork on most all of our projects. Those of us long-distance moms that can’t make it down, just contribute financially.
